Negril is located on the western end of Jamaica, and it has developed a reputation as the party and leisure capital of the Caribbean due to its famous seven-mile white-sand beach, quaint West End, and Hedonism II All-Inclusive Resort, which features wild parties and themed beach holiday packages. Negril has seen a boom in its housing stock as well, but this has mostly been in the capacity of providing housing for tourism workers.
That is beginning to change as new resort housing is being developed in the area, including the new Little Bay Country Club by real estate developer Robert Cartade. The construction has just being on this project which is slated to be a high-end housing development of villas, condominiums and studios. It will be a gated community with its own private beaches, clubhouse and panoramic view of Negril, the hills of Hanover and Westmoreland and the Caribbean Sea.
