
The recently concluded travel fair NATAS Holidays 2011 has exceeded expectations despite the financial uncertainty in the world economy today. The NATAS Holidays 2011 shattered previous sales records with a total of 67,051 visitors. Mr.Robert Khoo, CEO of NATAS Holidays 2011 said that their sales figures from Holidays 2011 exceeded those from Holidays 2010 by 17.6 per cent. The top five destinations were China, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe and Japan respectively.
Taiwan sent its biggest delegation to NATAS Holidays 2011 , hoping to sell 5000 package tours during the (Aug 26-28) festival, intending to promote its indigenous cultures and art forms plus youth events like the Cycle Festival.
According to the Contiki Holidays 2011 Style Miles report, there is a trend shift between young Australians between 18 and 35, who are abandoning their traditional trips to Europe and looking more to Eastern destinations like China for holiday travel.
